Each year on October 11, we celebrate the NSDAR National Day of Service with a local project.  In 2023, we provided food for three local fire stations. One group said “nobody has ever done so much for us!” Other projects have included raising money and food for the Blue Ridge Food Bank and providing requested clothing and money to the Shelter for Help and Emergency. NSDAR supports several schools, including the Hindman Settlement School in Eastern Kentucky. Our Community Day of Service for 2022 was to send money and requested items to their relief fund. 

Additionally, for our conservation project, we continue to encourage all members to pick up trash on their streets, hiking trails, and rivers.
